Locally owned and family operated, Cairns Carwash Cafe provides professional car washing and detailing services for drivers across Cairns and Far North Queensland.

Cairns Carwash Cafe is a locally owned car wash in Cairns, located at 27 Reservoir Road, Manoora. The business was established in January 2006 by Kim and Paul Freebody, who saw a need for a safe, professional and environmentally responsible car wash facility for the local community.

With the natural beauty of Far North Queensland in mind, their goal was simple. Provide Cairns locals with a convenient and sustainable way to wash their vehicles while protecting the environment.

Over the years, Cairns Carwash Cafe has welcomed customers from across Cairns, Far North Queensland and visitors travelling through the region.

Our Story

On 1 October 2017, the business entered a new chapter when Kim and Paul passed ownership to their three sons, Daniel, Nathan and Trent Freebody.

Growing up around the business gave the brothers a strong understanding of the industry and the importance of customer service. Their focus has been on improving the site, modernising equipment and creating a better overall experience for customers.

In March 2021, the business relaunched as Cairns Carwash Cafe, alongside the opening of a second onsite business, Northern Detailers.

A Family Legacy

Both businesses operate side by side at the Manoora location, providing complete vehicle cleaning and detailing services for Cairns drivers.
