Car Detailer Job Application
We are a prestige car cleaning and detailing company in Cairns looking for an experienced car detailer to join our team. Motivation, enthusiasm and a commitment to providing top quality car detailing work to is key to this role. We're looking for a detailer who is an energetic person with a degree of common sense. Just for clarity – this is no supervisor or chilled out job, car detailing is super active so it's critical that you can handle doing physical work all day with minimal breaks when needed.
Experience in car detailing including the below skills is a must.
Experience in cleaning vehicles – strong attention to detail on cleaning both internal and exterior cleans
Experience in machine (buffing) cut and polish is a must.
Experience in shampooing/steam cleaning of carpets is highly preferred
Honest, reliable, punctual and friendly
Ability to speak to customers including greeting on driveway, quoting and seeing off at competition of job is also strongly preferred.
Bonus is good -Ability to tint strip, headlight polish and do little detail tricks will look good and help get the job!
Current drivers’ license

This position also includes other roles such as dealing with customers, general cleaning duties around site, setting up and packing up site each day, working in carwash when detail is quite in general cleaning of customers cars.
Overall, it’s very important you are a quick adapter and can change to fit in with the way we do things. We are open to new ideas and ways to do things however you must be able to deal with being told what to do at times, however you will be left to your own devices for big parts of the day.
Constant training and on the job support in relation to the daily operations will be part of the job so you won’t be just thrown in the deep end by yourself.

Have the ability to maintain a high level of physical labor day in day out (most days we are busy working all day with minimal breaks)
Attention to detail - fast is important, but cleaning to high standards is more important. Always holding high standards is crucial.
Ability to work independently and unsupervised as well as work well with others. A strong consideration for someone who can lead and help give tips and train a small crew of detailers.
Quick learner with the ability to adjust to changes quickly.
Able to work under a high pace and high stressed environment.
Able to handle constructive criticism to improve and at times be told what to do… In other words needs to be able to follow instructions.
Common sense - able to problem solve and think for yourself.

Note: This will be a casual role with full-time hours (around 35 - 45 hours per week) which includes work on either a Saturday and/or a Sunday. You'll be required to have the ability to work in Australia.
